About Miun

Miun (ME-in) Gleeson is a writer based in the Philadelphia area. In addition to writing reported pieces on health, higher education + diversity, her personal essays appear in Boston Globe magazine, Newsweek, Slate, Huffington Post, TODAY.com, POPSUGAR, Motherly, Points in Case, Slackjaw, Business Insider, Motherwell, Mutha Magazine, as well as literary journals Capsule Stories and Pithead Chapel.

She received a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri (M-I-Z), as well as an MA and PhD in English from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. That research was mostly about death and dying, but she insists she’s still mildly fun at parties.

Miun is represented by Kerry Sparks at Levine Greenberg Rostan.
